new khancoban record

We start recording our next record a month from now. The tentative title is Everything Went Differently and Everything Was Good. We've done some home recording of the songs and are really happy with the results.  We'll be posting photos and updates as we go and have some interesting ideas about how it'll be released.

In the meantime, we offer a free and exclusive solo version of our song 'These Lines Can Be Traced' that we're calling 'Again These Lines'. The original version of the song was the opening track on our khancoban record. The new version was recorded today and is very different. Join our mailing list to keep up to date with everything and we will get you a copy.

Community Gig 13/09/09

Ever noticed there's a lot of little halls around the place? Ever wondered if it is possible for music to exist outside of a pub? Ever wished you could go to a gig around the corner from your house on a Sunday afternoon and be provided with some food so you wouldn't have to cook?
From these questions springs our very lovely Community Gig in Clifton Hill.
It's happening at the Commmunity Church of St. Marks Hall and will feature 5 bands, rice balls and soup, live art creation and a clothes swap meet.
Bands playing are:

Khancoban at 7.00

PJ's Actor Buddhists at 6.00

Oblako Lodka at 5.00

Microflora at 4.00

Yama Boy at 3.00

There will be art by Briony Barr and food by Fumiko Head.
If you have any old clothes you don't want bring them along and swap them for clothes that you do want.
The Hall is a few minutes walk from Clifton Hill Station or from Smith St./Queens Parade tram.
Bring your brother, sister, mother, father, son, daughter, neighbour, enemy.
